For the academic year 2022-2023, total 47,139 graduate students enrolled in graduate schools in United States. By gender, there are 20,354 male students (43.18%) and 20,354 female students (56.82%) enrolled in graduate programs. California State has the most graduate schools (10 graduate schools) with 16,289 students.

For the academic year 2022-2023, of the 47,139 enrolled students in graduate schools, 193 were American Indian/Native American (0.41%), 4,055 were Asian (8.60%), 7,722 were Black/African American (16.38%), 5,220 were Hispanic (11.07%), 162 were Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander (0.34%), 21,003 were White (44.56%), 1,460 were Two More (3.10%), and 2,318 were Un-Known (4.92%).
